Welcome to the 2007 - 2008 School Year
As we enter a new school year as
a community of learners, the staff at Brooks Elementary School looks forward
to welcoming your returning or first-time student to the school.
We encourage you to help us make this a very special and successful year
for your child by visiting us often and by becoming an active member of
the school community.
Brooks Elementary is located on Price
Road in the southern part of Fayette County. We hold accreditation
with the Georgia Accrediting Commission and the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools. In addition we not only passed AYP (Annual
Yearly Progress) as mandated by No Child Left Behind, we received the Silver
Award for our continued academic excellence.
All of our students are offered an excellent
academic program. Daily learning activities are guided by highly qualified
and dedicated teachers and support staff who take a great deal of pride
in their work. These learning activities can be both enjoyable and rewarding
for those students who maintain a positive attitude toward school. It is
hoped that each student will find his or her place and realize his or her
full potential while attending Brooks Elementary School.
We encourage you to read the Brooks Family
Handbook carefully and discuss it with your child. It provides a wealth
of information concerning our school policies and procedures that will
assist you in making your Brooks Elementary School a positive experience.
You are also asked to sign a form acknowledging that you are familiar with
the contents of the Family Handbook and the Fayette County Code of Conduct.
